Spirit Temple

Child and adult 4 listed sources

The Spirit Temple is the last medallion and the only temple that sends you home to become a child again halfway through.

West as a child, east as an adult

The desert colossus hides the door. Child Link takes the west side, crawling through the hole a grown body cannot use, and leaves with the Silver Gauntlets that an adult will need to shove the east-side blocks. That is the loop people miss: you are not soft-locked if a statue refuses to move, you are simply in the wrong body. Rotate the mirrors and reflect sunlight onto sun switches; Sun's Song does not activate these light puzzles. The Mirror Shield, found on the adult pass, bounces light into the faces and into Twinrova's fight.

Twinrova is two witches who must be hit with the opposite element, fire into the ice sister and ice into the fire sister, until they fuse. Eurogamer's remake guide still teaches that dance. The Spirit Medallion ends the sage set. Five small keys is the N64 number I will stand behind. If a remake chest moved, the guide that filmed it should say so in the caption before you abandon a room.

From gauntlets to the final mirror — original game

The child-side Silver Gauntlets are a future adult requirement; child Link cannot equip them immediately. Return to the Temple of Time, become an adult and warp back to push the heavy entrance block. The adult Iron Knuckle encounter guards the Mirror Shield. With it equipped, stand in a beam of sunlight and angle the shield onto a sun switch; the ocarina's Sun's Song is unrelated to that action. Twinrova also requires the shield: first redirect one sister's element into the other, then absorb three blasts of the same element after the fusion. Avoid mixing ice and fire charges during the fused phase.

Questions

Why can't I push the statue?

The Silver Gauntlets come from the child wing. Without them the adult blocks stay put.

Who is the boss?

Twinrova. Koume and Kotake fuse for the second half.
