Whole site Matches the scripts on this site
This page explains the services our pages request, the data they process and the controls available in Cookie settings.
What loads, and when
Default load; Reject switches it off. A first visit requests Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-7P9ZP79XEZ), Microsoft Clarity (project z9ud2rh6co) and Adsterra advertising (publisher 3403020), while the notice is visible. No stored choice is treated as granted by the site. This default does not mean that you clicked Accept. Reject saves your choice for 180 days and reloads the page to stop running vendor code. Accept enables these services. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the notice.
Site delivery. Cloudflare delivers this site's pages and local images and may process connection information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service.
YouTube. Video previews use local still images. Pressing play requests an iframe from youtube-nocookie.com; playback may contact youtube.com, googlevideo.com, ytimg.com and Google services. These requests do not occur before play. Playback sends connection and device information to Google.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics loads from googletagmanager.com and sends usage information to google-analytics.com and regional endpoints. This can include page addresses, referrers, device and browser information, approximate location and interaction events. Google Analytics cookies normally have a default expiry of two years; browser rules and property settings can change this. We have not independently confirmed a custom retention period for this property, so we do not state one. Reject disables collection on the reloaded page and subsequent visits while the choice is valid. Existing vendor cookies may remain until they expire or you remove this site's data. See Google's privacy policy.
Microsoft Clarity
Microsoft Clarity loads from clarity.ms/tag/z9ud2rh6co, requests resources from scripts.clarity.ms, sends session data to regional clarity.ms collection endpoints, and can contact c.bing.com. Microsoft may use Clarity cookies and Microsoft identifiers such as MUID. Clarity records interactions and session replays. Its default masking reduces exposure of sensitive content but is not a guarantee that every element is masked. Reject sends a storage-denial signal, then reloads to stop the running recorder. Provider retention rules and browser settings apply. See Microsoft's privacy statement.
Adsterra advertising
Adsterra loads by default and Reject stops it. NativeBanner_1 (unit 32139222) loads from bicea.org/21/34f55599cfb694698d6f8cbb37d5263a; SocialBar_1 (unit 32139223) loads from bicea.org/14/bd4b1b2977c5af49d08000e246aad210. These scripts can request additional advertising, creative and measurement hosts selected by the network. Adsterra and its partners receive connection/device information and may store frequency or advertising identifiers. The network controls partner cookies and their retention; we do not invent a fixed duration for them. Adult advertising is disabled in the recorded placement setup. Hide ad bar hides the floating placement and stores that separate preference for 180 days. See Adsterra's privacy policy.
What this site stores on your device
The site stores browser preferences and optional checklist progress in localStorage, with no account.
zoot_consent holds your banner choice (accepted or rejected) plus an expiry 180 days out. Purpose: remember the choice, keep the banner from looping and stop the three scripts after Reject. Legal basis: consent, and legitimate interest in remembering that choice.
zoot_adbar_closed holds {"closed":true,"t":<timestamp>} when you press Hide ad bar, and is kept for 180 days, so a bar you closed does not come back on the next page load. Legal basis: your instruction.
Optional checklist progress uses keys beginning zoot_progress:, followed by the page path. It is saved only when you change a checklist, stays on your device without an automatic expiry, and is never sent to the site. Clear this site's browser storage to delete it and the preference keys; the banner then returns. Reject does not delete the ad-bar preference; it only withdraws analytics, recording and ads.
Consent, signals and your rights
Before Google configuration, Consent Mode v2 sets ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied and analytics_storage to granted, with ads_data_redaction enabled. The site's first-visit default subsequently applies its granted state while displaying the notice. Reject updates all four fields to denied, stops the vendors and reloads with their loaders disabled. Global Privacy Control is treated as Reject. A saved choice expires after 180 days.
Use Cookie settings to withdraw or change your choice. Contact [email protected] for questions, access or deletion requests. Browser preferences are stored on your device; provider data and email correspondence are handled by their respective services. The fact that the guide has no account system does not mean third parties receive no data. Changes are recorded on the changelog.
Questions
Do analytics and ads load before I click Accept?
Yes. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra load by default on a first visit. The banner says so and gives you Reject, which turns all three off for 180 days. YouTube waits for a play click.
How do I withdraw?
Press Reject in the banner, or open Cookie settings in the footer and press Reject. The choice is remembered for 180 days; clearing site data also removes it.
What is stored on my device?
Browser storage keeps zoot_consent for your 180-day choice, zoot_adbar_closed for a bar you hid, and optional zoot_progress: checklist keys until you clear site data. Providers may use the cookies described above.
Do you sell personal data?
The site has no account profiles or data-broker service. Advertising and analytics providers receive the information described above when their scripts are enabled.
