Forest Temple

Polygon's remake walkthrough and Eurogamer's temple guide circle the same rooms the 1998 maps did. Four Poe sisters each carry a flame back to a torch. An arrow into the eye switch changes the twisted corridor, and the well in the courtyard drops if you drain it. A Floormaster splits into three smaller hands; defeat all three to finish the encounter. After obtaining the Fairy Bow from the Stalfos fight, use eye switches and the untwisted corridor route to reach the Boss Key chest, which is why the order feels circular until the bow chest opens.

Saria is the reason the temple exists in the story. Clearing it wakes her as the Forest Sage. If you are only missing the boss key, stop exploring side rooms and look at the eyes. The remake's art makes the courtyard brighter. It does not, in the guides I read, delete the Poe puzzle.

Check the first courtyard carefully before rushing into the main hall: the entrance area contains an early key that players often pass while looking for the temple door. The Bow comes from the Stalfos encounter and changes the use of eye switches and the Poe paintings. Match each missing flame to its Poe sequence rather than assuming that beating one sister restores every torch. After the flames return, the central elevator opens the basement route. The rotating basement room is its own final puzzle before Phantom Ganon. During the boss fight, distinguish the real rider emerging from a painting, then switch to returning the energy volleys in the second stage.
