The remake keeps the 1998 dungeon order and changes how you move, how towns look, and how cutscenes sound.

Published changes and their sources
- Voiced cutscenes. Link has no spoken dialogue (Wikipedia and Destructoid's cast list).
- A dedicated jump, and sprint by holding the roll (Kotaku, 80.lv, God is a Geek).
- Free camera, including in Castle Town (Kotaku).
- Faster swimming (Wikipedia).
- Motion aiming for bow, slingshot and boomerang (God is a Geek).
- An item wheel (Wikipedia and the preview).
- Iron Boots on a quicker toggle, and the Lens of Truth worn as goggles (Kotaku).
- Loading screens remain between regions; most building interiors do not reload (Kotaku, Wikipedia).
- Castle Town is busier and fully 3D, and the clock keeps running in town (Kotaku, Wikipedia).
- Hyrule Field terrain shifted, Lon Lon Ranch is no longer up on a ledge, Kakariko's construction moved, and Hyrule Castle gained a sewer stretch (Kotaku).
- Threads of Time quest log, microphone performance, and the Hall of Fallen Foes (Wikipedia, Kotaku).
The starting wallet is the soft one: Kotaku saw 200 and flagged it as unsure. Engine names are the same kind of rumor. Wikipedia records that people compared the look to a modern engine and does not quote Nintendo naming one. I am not printing an engine.
It is also not an open world. The development comments summarized on Wikipedia describe denser towns inside the old route.
Questions
Did they rebuild Water Temple?
Key counts differ in one guide. See the Water Temple page before assuming the N64 key total.
Is Zelda's face a confirmed redesign controversy?
Players argued about the child model. I record it as a dispute, not as a patch note.
