Modding here means the 1998 port, not the Switch 2 remake. The active shelf is GameBanana's Ship of Harkinian section.
What people actually ship
The port's own feature list already includes texture swaps, a model slot, multiplayer where the second player steers Ivan the Fairy, an internal randomizer, and a menu of cheat and convenience toggles. On top of that, GameBanana carries community packs. A creator may bundle textures and models, so read the exact pack requirements rather than treating every visual overhaul as a texture-only replacement. I am not ranking a best pack. Compatibility breaks when the port moves, and a thumbnail from 2024 can be a broken zip in 2026.
Nothing on this domain is a one-click mod pack, and nothing here is a ROM. Follow the creator's page, match the version they name, and keep your save in a separate folder before you experiment.
