What the song is for
You learn it by a kind of telepathy in the castle goodbye, once the Ocarina of Time is yours. The Door of Time in the Temple of Time stays shut until this melody follows the three stones. Blue blocks scoot or vanish when they hear it, which is a temple trick more than a story trick. The remake can also hear you hum the contour into the microphone. That does not change the button line above.
I am not drawing a 12-hole ceramic fingering. Nobody published one I trust. Play the buttons, or hum, and save the plastic HORI toy for the buy page. If a chart says C-up for this song, it is a different tune.
Learning the effect before using it — original game
The melody is associated with the Ocarina of Time rather than the first Fairy Ocarina gift from Saria. Complete the three child dungeons, return toward Castle Town, watch Zelda escape and retrieve the instrument from the moat. The lesson then gives the sequence needed at the Temple of Time altar. A player who knows the buttons from memory still needs the game's song-learning event for its quest effect. Blue blocks are a separate recurring use: the song may remove, move or reveal a block depending on the puzzle. It does not replace Sun's Song for changing day and night, and it does not turn the original game into Majora's three-day reset loop.
Questions
Who teaches it?
Zelda, when you receive the Ocarina of Time.
Does it change the time of day?
Its famous jobs are the Door of Time and the time blocks. Sun's Song is the day-night one.
