Kakariko Village
Child and adult 4 listed sources
Kakariko is the town at the northeast of the field. It works in both eras, and it is not the same town.
Shops by day, graves by night
Impa, the windmill man, the cucco lady and the carpenters are the names on the doors. The bazaar, the potion shop and the shooting gallery are the shops worth a wallet. The graveyard gate is the night trip: one grave gives the Hylian Shield for free if you would rather not pay 80 rupees in Castle Town. The windmill is where the adult Phonogram Man teaches the Song of Storms, which drains the well. That sequence is why the village is a hub and not a postcard.
The child-era building work becomes the adult shooting gallery. Enter the Bottom of the Well as a child after draining it with Song of Storms. The graveyard matters more. Kotaku's remake notes move where the scaffolding sits. Heart pieces in the village are real and their exact roofs are not listed here, because I will not guess a chimney. Use the bazaar for supplies, the grave for the shield, and the windmill for the song.
The well belongs to the child era — original game
Learn Song of Storms from the windmill musician while Link is an adult. Return to childhood and play that melody inside the windmill to drain the well, then enter its small opening as child Link to reach the Bottom of the Well. The adult body cannot simply follow the same crawl route. The graveyard also has age-specific tasks: Dampé's digging game is a child-night activity, while his grave race belongs to adult Link. The first successful race awards the Hookshot; a later fast run awards a Piece of Heart. These are separate from the free Hylian Shield grave and the Royal Family's Tomb that teaches Sun's Song.
