Hyrule Castle
Child infiltration, adult ruins 4 listed sources
The castle is a child-era infiltration: day gate, vines, a crawl, then Zelda in the courtyard. Adult Link does not return to the same building.
One infiltration, then a different castle
By day you cross from Castle Town. Guards patrol. The route players share is a mix of crate, vine and crawl, and the goal is the courtyard conversation, not a boss. The meeting gives Zelda's Letter and leads to Impa teaching Zelda's Lullaby; the Ocarina of Time is obtained later from the moat. Malon and Talon are in town on the same day, which is why the ranch quest starts outside the gate you are trying to sneak through. A Gold Skulltula is associated with the town side. I am not pinning a heart piece to a tower window.
After the time skip the castle you infiltrated is destroyed. Ganon's Castle is the new silhouette. People who search the adult map for the old courtyard are a version behind. Kotaku records a new sewer stretch in the remake's castle approach. Treat that as an added corridor, not as proof the meeting with Zelda moved. The meeting is still the child story.
A child route with several returns — original game
The first approach can involve climbing vines to bypass the gate and following the grassy slope above the guard patrols. Malon's egg becomes the Cucco used to wake Talon near the moat; once he moves, the crates provide a route toward the courtyard opening. Inside, watch the guards and move between safe cover rather than treating every patrol as a fight. The courtyard conversation awards Zelda's Letter. Impa teaches the royal lullaby as Link leaves, while the named Ocarina of Time arrives only after the three child dungeons and Zelda's later escape. Returning with Song of Storms also opens a separate grotto near the moat tree.
