Gerudo Valley

Child Link can reach the valley and cannot pass the Gerudo at the bridge. That is a hard gate, not a puzzle with a crate. Come back after the time skip. The span is down. The Longshot catches the far posts. Epona can jump the gap if you have her, which means the ranch races are a valley prerequisite for the horse route. Carpenters, a running man, and the tent jobs sit on the near side. The original checklist has two valley Pieces of Heart: the waterfall alcove and a crate on a cliff ledge. The Gerudo Training Ground is farther on in Gerudo Fortress, not beside the valley bridge.

The music is half the memory of the place. I am not hosting the track. The remake's field changes, including Lon Lon Ranch's new elevation, do not remove this gate in the reports I used. If you are a child, stop. If you are an adult without the hook or the horse, you are early, not lost.

The two Pieces of Heart are easy to overlook because neither is a reward for crossing the bridge. One is in the recess behind the waterfall, reached by the ladder from the river ledge. The other is in a crate on the isolated cliff ledge. Child Link can use the nearby Cucco for the descent, while adult equipment provides alternative access. Watch the exit before jumping, because the river can carry Link toward Lake Hylia. The carpenter-rescue quest and membership card are farther on in Gerudo Fortress. The valley tent is the connection to that quest, not an entrance to the Gerudo Training Ground itself.
